Witchcraft - The Card Game
I built this as a final project for an NYU humanities course centered around witchcraft in Victorian and Romantic literature, using the Python-based web app development framework Anvil. It's a short, role-playing style card game. The game plays with figures who were often historically persecuted as witches, and the interactions give them powers and situations, sometimes realistic and sometimes fantastical, that they could have encountered. The game is three rounds long, with a narrative and a description of events, creatures or characters for each interaction. Inspiration was drawn from historical places, folklore and mythology of different cultures.
If you'd like to play the game without a strange scrolling layout, go here.
